Today, the Shriner’s Children’s East-West Bowl named their top 1,000 draft eligible players for the 2027 NFL Draft. Six current WVU football players made the list.
- Zeke Durham-Campbell – EDGE
- Landen Livingston – OL
- Wes King – OL
- Nick Krahe – OL
- Cam Cook – RB
- Kamari Wilson – S
Of these six upperclassmen, two of them will have the opportunity to forego the Draft and return to the Mountaineers for 2027. Those two are Nick Krahe and Cam Cook.
Nick Krahe
Krahe, who is a Redshirt Junior, still has two years of eligibility remaining at WVU should he choose to remain in Morgantown. However, there’s a chance NFL teams will like what they see in the Erie, PA native during his RS Junior year. During his press conference at Big 12 Media Days, West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez said he thinks the 6-foot-6, 316-pounder will be one of the top offensive linemen in the Big 12. Krahe is a versatile player who played left tackle in 2025 but has been moved to guard for 2026.

Cam Cook
Running Back Cam Cook is a Senior going into the 2026 season. However, due to the new “5-for-5” rule put in place by the NCAA, Cook could get an extra year in college. The 5-foot-9 transfer from Jacksonville State has not used a redshirt because he played his first two seasons at TCU.
Cook was the nation’s leading rusher while playing for the Gamecocks in 2025. He rushed for over 1,600 yards and was the workhorse back for Head Coach Charles Kelly, carrying the ball 295 times.
Even with the extra year of eligibility, a good showing in 2026 could mean an NFL Draft opportunity is in the cards for the Texas native. After all, the tendency for NFL running backs is already a shortened career because of the pounding they take on a weekly basis. Barring injury or a disappointing season statistically, one more year in college could actually make Cook less desirable to NFL franchises or at least reduce the length or amount of money on his rookie contract. NFL teams often look for a back that can carry the load for as many years as possible. Every year spent in college can reduce that number in the eyes of NFL General Managers.
Livingston, Durham-Campbell, King and Wilson are all Redshirt Seniors who will have exhausted all eligibility after the 2026 season. Livingston is a holdover from the Neal Brown era at WVU. Durham-Campbell, King and Wilson are all transfers who came to the West Virginia football program from Coastal Carolina, Wyoming and Memphis respectively.
