West Virginia’s projected first baseman for the 2027 season and promising young talent Ryan Maggy has entered the transfer portal.
Maggy, who made the announcement via social media, appeared in 17 at-bats for the Mountaineers where he recorded four hits and four RBI this past season.
Maggy released an official statement after entering the portal.
“I want to thank my coaches and teammates for the last two years at West Virginia. It was an amazing ride and I wouldn’t change a thing. With that being said, I am officially in the transfer portal looking for a new opportunity as an incoming redshirt sophomore.”
