West Virginia baseball commit and in-state standout Kadyn Hines showed out on the mound on Monday.
The James Monroe junior all-stater hit 94 MPH several times in a 2-1 loss to Wheeling Central in the Class AA quarterfinals in Huntington.
Per MetroNews’ Joe Brocato via Play Sheet Sports, the 6-foot-3 inch prospect went 93-94-93 to record a third inning strikeout. Hines allowed just two hits and zero earned runs in the game.
The right-hander is a multi-sport athlete for the James Monroe Mavericks. He plays wide receiver on the football field and also excels on the hardwood.
The Lindside, WV native committed to coach Steve Sabins and the Mountaineers back in August 4, 2025. He is part of the 2027 recruiting class for WVU baseball.
