Maxx Yehl will be starting for West Virginia against Kansas State in what will be the Mountaineers’ first game of the Big 12 Tournament and the Wildcats’ third game in three days.
West Virginia will meet K-ST for the fourth time this season.
West Virginia, the No. 2 seed in the tournament, swept the Wildcats the first time the two teams met earlier this season.
Yehl, who’s tabbed Thursday nights starter, pitched excellent against the Wildcats this season.
Yehl went five innings striking out eight batters while allowing two walks and three hits with no runs scored against K-ST back on May 1.
The game will begin roughly around 7:30 pm EST and will be televised on ESPNU.
