WVU football defensive coordinator Zac Alley has added a fifth commit to his defense for 2027. Wesley Flamer announced on social media that he was committed to play football at West Virginia University. He is the seventh overall commit in the 2027 class.
The 6-foot-2 linebacker made the commitment on Saturday after the Mountaineers’ Spring Festival in Morgantown. He makes the fourth linebacker to commit to WVU football for 2027. The others are Mason Cerovac, Broncs Baker, and Rick Brown.

A native of Chantilly, VA, Flamer played his high school ball at Westfield, but now attends St. James Academy.
Per MaxPreps, the 207-pounder had a total of 150 tackles during his junior season at Westfield. That was good enough for number four in the state of Virginia. He was also credited with 4.5 sacks on the season.
WVU was Flamer’s first power four offer and that occurred back on January 27. Since then, he has also received an offer from Syracuse and several G6 programs.
Flamer is scheduled to take an official visit to West Virginia June 12-14. He is not yet rated by 247 Sports.
