David Hagen will get the start for West Virginia on Tuesday against the Arizona Wildcats. This solidifies what we now know that he is the main midweek rotational guy for Steve Sabins and his pitching staff.
Although limited in this role, Hagen has worked 9.1 innings on the year with 10 strikeouts and 4 walks but has yet to allow a run on the year.
His best outing came last week against Marshall where he worked three complete innings with three strikeouts but did allow three walks.
On the year Hagen has worked prominently just one inning four different times and worked two innings just once against Ohio.
WVU is 5-1 in the games Hagen has made appearances in with the sole loss coming against Liberty.
Hagen has earned two wins on the year which were recorded against Ohio and Marshall.
WVU has a chance to take three games out the desert after winning the series against then ranked No. 22 Arizona State.
WVU and Arizona will not count in the Big 12 standings as this game was already previously scheduled before Arizona joined the Big 12.
First pitch is scheduled for 9:00 pm and can be viewed on ESPN+.
