The West Virginia Mountaineers and BYU Cougars will have an adjusted schedule for this weekend series.
Remember, due to BYU being a Religious institution, they do not play games on Sunday. Therefore, WVU and BYU will play Thursday through Saturday.
First pitch on Thursday is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. with Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and the series finale on Saturday will begin at 12:30 p.m.
West Virginia will wear its Coal Rush themed uniforms on Thursday, regular uniforms on Friday and will wear the cream throwbacks to wrap up the series on Saturday.
This series has big time early season standings on the line as both the Mountaineers and Cougars enter play with a 2-1 record in the conference. They are in a deadlock tie for second place with Kansas State, Arizona State, Utah, and Texas Tech.
UCF holds the lead right now with a 3-0 record in the conference.
Cincinnati, Houston, TCU, Kansas, Baylor, and Arizona each are 1-2 in the conference while Oklahoma State, who was favored by many to make the postseason is off to a rough start this season with a 0-3 record in the Big 12.
13 of the 14 teams in the Big 12 have 10 or more wins this season. The only team with less than 10 wins overall is Arizona at 7-13.
