West Virginia is loaded with arms in their rotation and in the bullpen. Sure, there are questions about some guys who come out in certain situations, but one name no one questions is David Perez.
Perez, a freshman, has had impressive outings most of the season. Most of them being one inning due to is closer-like role for the Mountaineers.
That same one inning of work is what he got to work on Sunday to close out the Mountaineers 8-0 win over the Baylor Bears.
In that one inning of work Perez recorded three strikeouts. All three of which came on the slider on the right side of the plate.

On the year Perez has worked just seven innings but has 12 strikeouts on the year with just allowing two runs on three hits for the Mountaineers.
This is his second time this year recording three strikeouts in one game as he did so against Liberty back on February 21.
