No news is always good news; but today … it’s bad news for West Virginia baseball.
WV Sports Chat learned of a possibility that Chase Meyer was no longer on the baseball roster, but held off on making that report until there was clear communication and truth in the news.
WVU baseball head coach Steve Sabins issued the following statement:

Today, Meyer was removed from the baseball roster and is no longer with the program per Steve Sabins.
Meyer was 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA, five strikeouts, three walks and three hit batters in 3.1 innings this season.
Meyer was projected to be a high-ended first-round, possibly early second-round draft pick this summer.
