WVU Basketball Signee Turns in Elite Performance; but Still Left Off Exclusive List

Five-star point guard and WVU basketball signee Miles Sadler continues to turn heads at the high school level.

Workin It Hoops, a popular social media outlet who covers basketball at all levels, recently called Sadler arguably the “BEST HIGH SCHOOL PG in the WORLD.”

The way he's playing right now, it's hard to argue that 🇨🇦 Miles Sadler is not the BEST HS PG in the WORLD!! the West Virginia commit was just named the MVP of the prestigious Avance Global Cup event in Málaga, Spain, averaging:

• 8.0 APG
• 6.0 STL (!!)

This outstanding performance by the future Mountaineer is sure to be talked about for many years to come. However, it unfortunately did not earn the 5-foot-10 high school star a spot on the McDonald’s All-American Team. Andrew Corbett of 247 Sports called this the “SNUB of the century.”

Despite not being named a McDonald’s All-American, Sadler is still an elite high school basketball player and one of the best in the country, if not the world. He is still the highest rated recruit in WVU basketball history, per the 247 Sports Composite, and is expected to be a day-one contributor for Coach Ross Hodge and the Mountaineers in 2026-2027.
