Morgantown, WV – Since arriving at WVU, men’s basketball coach Ross Hodge has had a blistering start on the recruiting trail. With the signing of 5-star 2026 prospect Miles Sadler, as well as his teammate Aliou Dioum, the Mountaineers are currently in position for a bright future. Now, it appears Hodge and staff are in the running for yet another ultra-talented prospect on the recruiting trail.
According to Jamie Shaw of On3, the Mountaineers are among the schools that 5-star Rivals prospect Paul Osaruyi, a 6’9” power forward, will choose from. The Arizona native is currently the 8th rated player in the 2027 class, per the outlet. His talents have also garnered him interest from many of the nation’s elite programs – including Texas, Illinois, Houston, and Syracuse.
Landing Osaruyi has the potential to be a program-changer for the Mountaineers.
