The West Virginia Mountaineers continue to reshape their roster under head coach Rich Rodriguez with the latest addition coming on the special teams front.
Colorado State punter Bryan Hansen announced his commitment to the Mountaineers.
Hansen, a specialist with experience in the Mountain West Conference, brings much-needed depth and competition to the Mountaineers’ punting unit.
Hansen brings a wealth of experience to Morgantown. During his time with the Colorado State Rams, he handled both punting and kickoff duties, showcasing impressive leg strength and consistency.
In the 2025 season, Hansen punted 57 times, averaging 47.9 yards per punt. Notably, he downed 13 punts inside the opponents’ 20-yard line and boomed 23 punts over 50 yards. On kickoffs, he recorded 106 attempts totaling 6,667 yards, with 55 resulting in touchbacks
