Former Oklahoma quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. and his brother, defensive back Maliek Hawkins, are currently visiting West Virginia, per Pete Thamel of ESPN.
The siblings, who recently entered the NCAA transfer portal, are expected to commit to the same program as they seek new opportunities beyond the Sooners.
Michael Hawkins Jr., a dual-threat quarterback, announced his intention to transfer on December 31, 2025. Over two seasons at Oklahoma, he appeared in nine games, accumulating 950 passing yards and eight touchdowns while also contributing on the ground.
He started five games, including a notable fill-in role against Kent State in 2025 after an injury to starter John Mateer.
With three years of eligibility remaining after redshirting the 2025 season, Hawkins Jr. brings experience and upside to any program looking to bolster its quarterback room.
His younger brother, Maliek Hawkins, a freshman cornerback in 2025, also redshirted and will enter the portal with four years of eligibility left.
Rated as a three-star recruit out of Emerson High School in McKinney, Texas, Maliek adds depth potential to a secondary.
