MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia fans can now support Mountaineer Athletics by doing something they do on a regular basis anyway; travel. By simply booking a flight or hotel you can help the WVU Athletic Department stay competitive in today’s college sports landscape.
In a recent X (formerly Twitter) post, WVU announced the formation of Mountaineer Travel. The new platform is described as, “a new, exclusive travel hub for WVU fans, alumni and supporters.”
Athletic Director Wren Baker posted about the new travel site by saying, “Excited about this new venture! Book travel easily, save money and support the Mountaineers all at once! Let’s go.”
The platform claims to save customers up to 50% on travel bookings. WVU has partnered with North Central West Virginia Airport (CKB) for select flights to places like Myrtle Beach, Tampa, Daytona Beach, Orlando and others.
