This week’s contest between West Virginia and Colorado will have high implications on bowl eligibility. Win and they still have a glimmer of hope, but lose and fall to 3-7 with no bowl game in sight.
On Saturday, Colorado will run out true freshman quarterback Julian Lewis according to CBS Sports.
This all be Lewis’s first collegiate start.
West Virginia two weeks ago turned to Scotty Fox and he almost led the Mountaineers to an upset win over TCU, but followed up a strong performance then against No. 22 ranked Houston in a 10-point victory.
This season Fox has thrown for 623 yards with four touchdowns and a pair of interceptions and has also ran it 44 times with 145 yards and three touchdowns, two of which came against Houston.
Since taking over as West Virginia’s starting quarterback against TCU, Fox has thrown three touchdowns and no interceptions for 458 yards passing.
