West Virginia junior right-hander Chase Meyer earned a spot at No. 64 on D1Baseball’s updated Top 100 college prospects for the 2026 MLB Draft.
Meyer, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound pitcher from Daytona Beach, Florida, has emerged as a standout player, who is enterting his third year with the Mountaineers.
Initially recruited as the No. 31 right-handed pitcher and No. 110 overall prospect in the 2023 class—marking one of the highest-rated signees since arriving in Morgantown—Meyer faced early challenges. His freshman season in 2024 Meyer made 13 appearances on the mound, with one start. He recorded a 8.38 ERA.
However, Meyer’s development took a significant leap forward in 2025. Meyer appeared in 22 games, making three starts. He ended the season with a 3.94 ERA while striking out 63 batters in 48 innings. In March, he struck out a season-high nine batters in 3.2 hitless innings at Oklahoma State to earn the win.
Last season Meyer was named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.
