Men’s Basketball Nonconference Game Promotions Announced

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University Athletics Marketing Department has released its 2025-26 men’s basketball nonconference home game promotional schedule for this fall at Hope Coliseum.
The Big 12 Conference promotional slate will be announced in December.

Sunday, Oct. 26 vs. Wheeling (4 p.m., ET | ESPN+) | GET TICKETS

Haunted Hoopapolooza
The men’s and women’s basketball exhibition games on Sunday, Oct. 26 will be dubbed Haunted Hoopapalooza. Fans are encouraged to come to Hope Coliseum dressed in their favorite costume, enjoy FREE candy and concourse area experiences that are great for the whole family.

Tuesday, Nov. 4 vs. Mount St. Mary’s (7 p.m., ET | ESPN+) | GET TICKETS

Home Opener
The 2025-26 home opener against Mount St. Mary’s will be Coach Ross Hodge‘s first regular season home game at WVU.
Poster Giveaway Night
Fans can pick up a copy of the 2025-26 WVU men’s basketball schedule poster.

Thursday, Nov. 6 vs. Campbell (7 p.m., ET | ESPN+) | GET TICKETS

Canned Food Drive
Fans are encouraged to bring a canned food item for the Food Drive benefiting the Lions’ Club, presented by Kroger. Fans that bring a canned food item to donate will receive a discounted ticket voucher for a future WVU women’s basketball home game this season.

Sunday, Nov. 9 vs. Lehigh (3 p.m., ET | ESPN+) | GET TICKETS

Family Day
The first Family Day of the season will be against Lehigh on Sunday, Nov. 9. Fans will be able to purchase 4 tickets and a $25 concession voucher for just $65.
Military Appreciation
In honor of Veteran’s Day on Nov. 11, the matchup with the Mountain Hawks will be the Military Appreciation game. WVU will pay homage to veterans as well as active duty military members throughout the game.
The Mountaineer Ticket Sales and Service team is offering special discounted tickets to the Lehigh game for veterans and active duty military members as well as first responders.

Thursday, Nov. 13 vs. Pitt (6 p.m., ET | FS1) | GET TICKETS

Gold Rush
The Backyard Brawl matchup with Pitt will be a GOLD RUSH game. All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear GOLD to the game.
Fan Experience Activations
Fans will have the opportunity to take photos at the photobooth and enjoy face painting and balloon artistry in the concourse prior to the game.
Magnet Giveaway Night
One of the most popular giveaways of the year highlights the matchup with Iona as fans can pick up their WVU basketball schedule magnet for the 2025-26 season.
Halftime
Fans will get to enjoy a performance from one of the most beloved halftime acts in the country – The Red Panda.

Monday, Nov. 17 vs. Lafayette (7 p.m., ET | ESPN+) | GET TICKETS

Happy Hour Night
The first WVU men’s basketball Happy Hour Night will be on Monday, Nov. 17! All beverages at all Coliseum concession stands will be ½ off from 5:30-7 p.m.
Toy Drive
Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at $5 or more to donate to the Toy Drive on Monday, Nov. 17 vs. Lafayette. Athletics is partnering with WVU’s Toy Mountain to help provide underprivileged children, in Morgantown, toys for the holiday season. Fans that bring a toy item to donate will receive a discounted ticket voucher to a future WVU women’s basketball home game this season.

Sunday, Nov. 30 vs. Mercyhurst (3 p.m., ET | ESPN+) | GET TICKETS

Family Day
The second Family Day of the season will be against Mercyhurst on Sunday, Nov. 30. Fans will be able to purchase 4 tickets and a $25 concession voucher for just $65.
The Mountaineer Ticket Sales and Service team is offering special group ticket packages to the Mercyhurst game for Youth Sports Day and Educators Day.

Wednesday, Dec. 3 vs. Coppin State (7 p.m., ET | ESPN+) | GET TICKETS

Happy Hour Night
The second WVU men’s basketball Happy Hour Night will be on Tuesday, Dec. 10! All beverages at all Hope Coliseum concession stands will be ½ off from 5:30-7 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 9 vs. Little Rock (7 p.m., ET | ESPN+) | GET TICKETS

$15 Tickets
Fans can purchase tickets to the matchup with Little Rock on Tuesday, Dec. 9 for as low as $15!

Monday, Dec. 22 vs. Mississippi Valley State (7 p.m., ET | ESPN+) | GET TICKETS

Holiday Hoops
The Mountaineers will be ready for all the Holiday festivities against Mississippi Valley State on Monday, Dec. 22. Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite ugly holiday sweater to the game and can enjoy holiday themed promotions throughout the game including Santa photos in the concourse.
