MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – As fall camp winds down for the West Virginia football program, the Mountaineers have not stopped looking for ways to improve the roster. They are building depth with the addition of impactful transfer players. The most recent addition was offensive lineman, Jude Edwards. The preseason JUCO All-American has committed to WVU football after spending one year at Trinity Community College. The League City, Texas native will enroll at WVU for the Fall semester and be eligible to play this season.

The 6-foot-3 300-pound interior lineman played most of his snaps at guard for Trinity. Prior to that he was a standout player at Clear Falls High School in his hometown of League City.

Rich Rodriguez and his staff have also added five other players to the roster out of the portal since the start of Fall camp.

They are listed below.

  • Olu Omotosho, a 6-foot-2 defensive lineman coming from Oregon State, adds a veteran presence to the WVU defensive front. Despite battling injuries last season, Omotosho played in nine games, recording 14 tackles, one sack, and six quarterback hurries. His best year came in 2022 at Wyoming, where he notched 46 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss, and 10 quarterback hurries.
  • Caleb Nuhi-Yandall, a 6-foot, 240-pound linebacker transferring from Cerritos College, earned First Team All-Conference honors in 2023. His stat line from last season includes 52 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception, and three pass breakups. A former Marine League Player of the Year at Banning High School in California, Nuhi-Yandall racked up an impressive 114 tackles and four interceptions during his senior year. He has one season of elibibilty remaining.
  • Hubert Hendrickson III, a 6-foot-2 160-pound cornerback from Franklin Pierce University, a Division II school in New Hampshire. The Middle Village, NY native played high school ball at Christ the King High School. He was a two-sport athlete who also ran track in his lone season at Franklin Pierce. He saw no action on the football field his Freshman year. Hendrickson is believed to be a preferred walk-on and has four years of eligibility remaining.
  • Andre Devine, a 5-foot-7, 160-pound running back has transferred to WVU from Jacksonville State. Devine will add even more speed to the Mountaineer running back room. He saw no action during his true freshman campaign at Jax State, but is a WVU legacy player with a strong bloodline. The Fort Myers, Florida native will be joining his dad, Noel Devine, in Morgantown. The elder Devine is now an assistant running back coach on Rich Rodriguez’s staff. He was also a star player in Morgantown from 2007-2010. Noel Devine is the third leading rusher in West Virginia history with 4,315 career rushing yards. He was inducted into the WVU Hall of Fame in 2021. His son, Andre, will have four years of eligibility remaining.
  • Tyler Jacklich, a 6-feet-2 223-pound running comes to WVU from Merced College in California. During his lone year at Merced, he carried the ball 163 times for 842 yards and nine touchdowns. He did all of this in only eight games. With the eligibility of Northern Iowa transfer Tye Edwards still in question, Jacklich gives the Mountaineers an option for a big-bodied back who can get tough yards in short yardage situations. However, don’t let the large frame fool you. Jacklich has also been clocked with an official time of 4.48 in the 40-yard dash. This combination of size and speed could be just what Rich Rodriguez needed to fill out his running back room.
