In his NFL preseason debut with Tampa Bay Buccaneers, former West Virginia quarterback turned wide receiver Garrett Greene shines on Saturday night.
Greene, who was WVU’s quarterback from 2020-2024, but didn’t really blast onto the scene until 2023, signed with Bucs’ as undrafted free agent and made the switch to wide receiver to bolster his chances at making an NFL roster.
From the 2023-2024 season when Greene officially took over the Mountaineers offense, he threw 31 touchdowns along with 19 rushing touchdowns as the Mountaineers starting quarterback.
On Saturday, after one game in NFL live action he certainly made a case to be an option for the Bucs coaching staff.
Greene finished with two receptions for 22 yards and had a punt return for 17 yards in the Bucs 29-7 win over the Tennessee Titans.
