The West Virginia women’s soccer team is coming off of an 1-0 exhibition win over the Pitt Panthers roughly three days ago.
Sophomore Maddie Levy scores in the final minutes of the game to secure the win for the Lady Mountaineers.
According to the Big 12, the Lady Mountaineers come in ranked No. 4 in the preseason poll behind TCU, Texas Tech and BYU.
On Wednesday, the Lady Mountaineers will host Ohio State at home for an exhibition game starting at 12 noon.
Last season the Lady Mountaineers finished 12-5-3, losing in the Big 12 tournament to Kansas in two overtime’s and lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Kentucky in penalty kicks.
The Lady Mountaineers season officially kicks off on August 14 against Virginia at home with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 pm.
The Lady Mountaineers are 4-13-3 overall against the Cavaliers with its last game against UVA coming on August 31, 2023 in a 2-1 loss.
