West Virginia University’s baseball program continues to have success on the recruiting trail, securing a significant commitment from in-state star Kadyn Hines, a 2027 right-handed pitcher from James Monroe High School.
He announced his decision on Instagram and was first reported by WVSports.com.
“After a great talk with with Coach Sabins and Coach Garcia. I would like to announce my commitment to WVU for my athletic and academic career. I want to thank god, my family and everyone that has helped me
GO MOUNTAINEERS”
Hines, 6-foot-4, 180-pounds, has already turned heads with his electric arm. Recently clocking a personal-best 93 MPH on the radar gun, Hines brings a potent fastball and a devastating curveball to WVU’s future rotation.
Hines, who plays travel ball for the NRV Tigers, is the latest in a line of in-state talents to choose WVU. The Mountaineers recently secured a commitment from Hedgesville High School (W.Va.) pitcher Mason McGill.
