West Virginia men’s basketball has extended a scholarship offer to 2026 center Aliou Dioum.
Dioum, 6-foot-10, 200-pounds, who plays for Bella Vista Prep (Scottsdale, AZ) — but who is originally from Senegal —has quickly caught the attention of college scouts. Since arriving in the U.S., the talented center has added offers from programs like Syracuse, Wake Forest, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and now WVU to his recruitment list.
Dioum is rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports composite with a 0.9379 overall rating. He is considered the 146th best prospect overall in the 2026 class and the 20th best center in the country. He is also rated the 10th best prospect in the state of Arizona.
With official visits scheduled to Loyola Chicago on July 28, and Wake Forest on August 21, Dioum is quickly emerging as a major stock riser and the Mountaineers are hoping to enter the fray, aiming to lure this promising talent to Morgantown.
