JJ Wetherholt continues his dominance at Triple-A Memphis.
Wetherholt, the top prospect in the St. Louis Cardinals organization, led off the game with a home run for the second consecutive game. In his next at-bat, he blasted another home run, a 444-foot shot to right-center field. It was his first career Triple-A multi-homer game.
Wetherholt’s recent success with the Memphis Redbirds have been nothing short of spectacular. In just eight games, he has posted a staggering .407 batting average, complemented by an incredible 1.521 OPS, four home runs, and five RBIs.
As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Wetherholt. His rise through the Cardinals minor league system combined with his continued success in Triple-A could see him donning a Cardinals uniform in St. Louis sooner rather than later.
