JJ Quinerly Scores Career-High 18 Points in Loss to Phoenix Mercury

Dallas Wings guard JJ Quinerly continues to shine in her WNBA rookie season.

The former West Virginia star delivered a career-high 18 points, alongside 1 rebound and 5 assists in a 102-72 loss to the Phoenix Mercury. She was named the Dallas Wings’ “Player of the Game”.

Her performance against Phoenix marks her second consecutive game with double-digit points, averaging 16.0 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.5 rebounds over her last two outings.

Quinerly has certainly seen her season takeoff since stepping into the starting lineup against the Washington Mystics on June 15. It was during that game where she scored 15 points, four rebounds, and four assists in Dallas’ 79-71 win over the Mystics.

Just last week, Quinerly helped lead the Stars to a 98-89 win over Phoenix where she had one of her best outings of the season, scoring a then career-high 17 points while adding seven assists and five rebounds.

On this season Quinerly is averaging 5.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. The Wings are 6-14 on this season.
