WVU Football Adds Versatile Athlete After Big Recruiting Weekend

by: Justin Walker

West Virginia landed its fifth commitment of the day on Monday, following this past weekend’s official visits.

Pike Road (AL) linebacker Miles Khatri has committed to the Mountaineers. He also held offers from several G6 schools; including Liberty, Charlotte, Army and Air Force.

The 6-foot-0, 215-pounder had a solid junior year of high school. He had over 100 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and four sacks. He also hauled in one interception and ten pass breakups, which shows his ability to play both the run and the pass. That versatility is likely what made him a must-have for this WVU coaching staff.

So far, he is not rated by Rivals nor 247Sports. However, the Mountaineers have been on the young athlete since January, which is when they first made him an offer. What position he is expected to play in Morgantown is not yet known, but he has the size and ability to play multiple positions.

Katri makes the 12th overall commitment for the 2026 class and 8th on the defensive side of the ball. The entire list can be seen below.
