MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Mountaineers will be facing some new opponents at Milan Puskar Stadium in the coming years, as announced by the West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Seven new games were added to the schedule, with the first game coming on Sept. 12, 2026, against UT-Martin.
Youngstown State is the following added game on Sept. 9, 2028, marking the first time the Penguins and Mountaineers have squared off in ten years.
West Virginia will then face the Akron Zips of the Mid-American Conference for the first time, as the Mountaineers host games on Sept. 16, 2028, and Sept. 14, 2030.
The last game announced for WVU is a switch from St. Francis (Pa.) to Rhode Island, scheduled for August 31, 2030.
