West Virginia University baseball has earned a commitment from from infielder Matt Ineich, a transfer from Ohio University.
As a true freshman for the Bobcats, Ineich batted an outstanding .387 with 3 homeruns and 25 RBIs over 36 starts. He also recorded nine doubles.

His performance this past season earned him All-MAC Second Team honors, and he ranked second in the MAC in batting average and seventh in on-base percentage (.467).
He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Ineich joins recent portal additions Owen Puk, a pitcher from FIU, pitcher Chansen Cole from Newberry College, and outfield Paul Schoenfeld from Colorado Mesa.
