West Virginia continues to bolster their secondary for the Class of 2026 with the commitment of Simaj Hill.
The Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s Prep defensive back, who visited Morgantown this past weekend for an official visit, announced his decision on Instagram.
Hill, 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, chose the Mountaineers over offers from Syracuse, Wake Forest, James Madison, N.C. State, and Liberty, among others.
Thank you to all the schools that have recruited me. Thank you for taking the time to see my talent and offering me a chance to play for your schools. Without that being said I will be Decommitting from JMU and flipping to WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY #flipping #gomountaineers 💛💙… pic.twitter.com/V4NCLxNbsu

Hill originally committed to James Madison on April 15 but continued to attract the attention of other programs.
This past season Hill recorded 22 pass breakups and one interception. His commitment comes just one day after Fresno (Ca.) Fresno City C.C. defensive back Jaylon Jones pledged his commitment to the Mountaineers.
Hill becomes West Virginia’s eighth commitment for the Class of 2026.
