JUCO DB Jaylon Jones Commits to WVU

West Virginia has received a commitment from junior college defensive back Jaylon Jones.

The Fresno (Ca.) Fresno City C.C. standout announced his decision to commit to the Mountaineers on social media following his weekend visit to Morgantown.

Jones, 6-foot-2, 175-pounds, recorded five interceptions this past season for Fresno City.

His relationship with WVU safeties coach Gabe Franklin played a huge role in his decision to shut down his recruitment.

“They [WVU] made me feel at home instantly, Coach Franklin, especially” Jones told WVSportsChat.com. “He [Coach Franklin] is a great guy and coach and it showed. He showed how much he wanted me as a recruit and I loved it. Our relationship is very close already and I can’t wait to be in Morgantown.”

He has three years of eligibility remaining in his career.
