Jones, 6-foot-2, 175-pounds, recorded five interceptions this past season for Fresno City.
His relationship with WVU safeties coach Gabe Franklin played a huge role in his decision to shut down his recruitment.
“They [WVU] made me feel at home instantly, Coach Franklin, especially” Jones told WVSportsChat.com. “He [Coach Franklin] is a great guy and coach and it showed. He showed how much he wanted me as a recruit and I loved it. Our relationship is very close already and I can’t wait to be in Morgantown.”
He has three years of eligibility remaining in his career.
