The Finland native averaged 5.9 points and 1.4 rebounds in 22 minutes per game. He shot 40.7 percent from behind the three-point line and made four three-pointers in four games last season. Those games were against Indiana, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Virginia.
Ugusuk was a three-star transfer prospect who has two years of eligibility remaining. He scored a career-high 20 points against Vanderbilt. He also had an 18-point game against Indiana and a 15-point effort against Oklahoma.
West Virginia needs a player with Ugusuk’s skill set: three-point shooting and length at the guard position. Ugusuk is the eighth player that head coach Ross Hodge landed this offseason led by Top 100 guard Treysen Eastlestaff.
