The NFL Draft ended on Saturday evening and the only West Virginia football player drafted was Wyatt Milum, but that wasn’t the end of the road for several other Mountaineers, who signed as unrestricted free agents.
Former quarterback Garrett Greene signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will try and make their roster as a wide receiver. In his senior season with the Mountaineers, the Tallahassee, Florida native rushed for 889 yards and seven touchdowns while he threw for 2,300 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Long snapper Austin Brinkman spent four years at WVU and became one of the best in the nation. He signed with the Houston Texans. Brinkman was the snapper for punts, field goals, and extra points.
Kole Taylor signed with the Cincinnati Bengals after spending two seasons with the Mountaineers. He transferred from LSU and played in 26 games for WVU, where he had 78 catches and seven touchdowns.
Defensive lineman TJ Jackson signed with the Seattle Seahawks. He spent one year at WVU after transferring from Troy. Jackson had 40.0 total tackles, 14.0 TFLs, and 6.5 sacks and was an All-Big 12 performer.
Garnett Hollis Jr. signed with the Tennessee Titans. The cornerback spent four years at Northwestern before spending his final season with the Mountaineers. In 13 games, Hollis 27 tackles, 19 assists and six pass breakups.
Defensive tackle Fatorma Mulbah signed with the New York Jets after spending the last two seasons with WVU. In 2024, he had 50 total tackles, 4.5 TFLs, and a sack.
