WVU Men’s basketball coach Ross Hodge has been busy in this transfer portal window. Per Field of 68 insider, Jeff Goodman, the Mountaineers have received a commitment from Jackson Fields, a forward from Troy.

The 6-8 junior forward averaged 7.9 points and 4.8 rebounds this past season.
The 6-foot-8 junior averaged 7.9 points and 4.9 rebounds for Troy this past season, starting all but one game. The Missouri City, Texas native has started in 60 games as a Trojan and has one year of eligibility remaining.
Fields shot 47.5 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc this past season on 66 attempts. He helped Troy to its first Sun Belt regular season championship since 2010 and its first NCAA tournament berth since 2017.
Fields is the fourth transfer addition for the Mountaineers. He joins UNC-Wilmington center, Harlan Obioha, North Texas forward, Brenan Lorient, and Chattanooga guard, Honor Huff.
